Dan Schaefer #53 was named to the 2005 All-Fox Valley Association First Team at the Center position.

FOND DU LAC - The 2005 Fox Valley Association season was a very successful season for the Fond du Lac Cardinals, both as a team and for 18 individual team members who earned All-Fox Valley Association recognition.

Cardinals starting defensive tackle Mike Pionke was the only cardinal who earned a unanimous pick. Joining Pionke on the first team are center Dan Schaefer, cornerback Eric Richter, kicker A.J. Hanson, and punter Kyle Senn.

Junior offensive tackle Tony Frank, wide reciever Kyle Senn, fullback Wes Riggs, quarterback Chad Pierce, defensive lineman andy windsor and travis goebel, linebacker ryan polakoski and safety Josh Korb were named to the second team.

The following Cardinals earned All-FVA Honorable Mention: Sophomore guard Grant Groeschel, wide reciever Luke Wacek, running back Eric Richter and linebackers Shane Baldauf and Mike Shea.

Fond du Lac's 18 selections was the second most in the conference behind FVA champion Menasha with 23 selections and 5 player of the year awards.
